Maria was five years old on April 16th, she will have a birthday party on Saturday with her friends and family. She is a very sweet little girl with beautiful red hair and a lovely smile. Maria will go to school in September and I know she will be her teacher's favorite student because she is always so happy to please. Happy Birthday, Maria!
Margaret makes a perfect first born, she sets a great example for all her siblings and cousins. She will be 10 years old on July 31st. She has accelerated beyond her grade in school and devours any book you put in front of her. I love talking with Margaret about anything, it's fun to discover her likes and dislikes, views and opinions. Margaret is such a help to her mother around the house. Margaret plays the cello and we have been thrilled to attend two of her performances.
Louisa continues to be a lovely young lady, she excels in school and is an avid reader. She is such a good example to her siblings. Louisa loves a good joke or story and is always asking me to tell her stories of when her mother was a little girl. She loves horses and we plan a day together, just the two of us, to go to a horse show.
Spending time with Imelda sharpens ones appreciation for doing the right thing. She has such a sense of love for one another that it inspires us all. It is common for her to be the first to volunteer for a task and to do it with a smile on her face. Imelda makes her First Communion on May 3rd. She started school this year and is a favorite of her teacher.
Benedict is about as cute as they come. He has such an Irish look to him and a sweet, adorable personality. Can you imagine him in fifteen years? Margaret, Louisa, Imelda and Maria will find themselves with lots of new girlfriends wanting to get to know their brother!
But if you really want to be loved and hugged . . . it's Pius all the way! He wraps his arms around you in such a bear hug that everything evaporates into his mushy affection. Four months later, he is still wishing, "Happy Christmas, Grandma." He is about the happiest person I have ever met.
I recenty went to Snoqualmie Falls with Colleen and the kids. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time enjoying the scenery. Victor, Rose, Marie and Henry exude enthusiasm, excitement, curiosity and laughter everywhere they go. When you are with them it is fun, fun, fun. It's loud, it's hectic, it's everyone talking at the same time . . . aka, it's wonderful!
Marie has an adorable personality, she loves to sing and dance and play jokes. She loves to play games and make you laugh. Marie is content to enjoy these days at home playing dolls and having her mother all to herself (along with Henry). I think if you asked her she would say there are plenty years to be grown up, I want to savor these years as a baby!

There is no peace and quiet when Henry is around. He is curious about everything and wants to go through every drawer and cupboard. He climbs on all the counters, tables, desks . . . it is not unusual to come into a room to find him sitting in the middle of the dining room table or on the counter next to the kitchen sink. He used to cry when left with Grandma but now runs to hug and kiss me. What heaven that is!
Rose is our princess ballerina . . . she loves to dance and continues to excel at her ballet lessons. She has an upcoming ballet performance at the end of May which we all look forward to. Rose began her school career by immediately winning recognition for her hard work and respect for others.

He loves a gathering and his motto is, "wherever two or more are gathered, it's a party! SuperBowl Sunday, 4th of July, second tuesday of the month, anyday is a good excuse to party. Victor has an enormous zest for life, we don't have to look too far to wonder where he gets that from!
So, you can see how richly we are blessed. We look forward to welcoming our new addition within the next two weeks. Elena's due date is April 21st and the doctor will induce no later than April 29th. Keep Elena and the baby in your prayers that all will go well. Hope you enjoyed these pictures.
