Merry Christmas

I don't believe any of us will be dreaming of a white Christmas ever again. Several days before the 25th it started snowing in the Seattle area . . . it snowed, and snowed and snowed . . . and then it snowed even more. I think we received about eighteen inches with temperatures in the teens. Christmas Day we awoke to heavy snowing with additional accumulations during the night. It just would not stop snowing! But, just like the mail (though we didn't get mail for almost a week) neither rain, nor sleet, now snow will keep us from celebrating Christmas. We had a wonderful day opening our gifts, eating a festive dinner and yes, watching it snow. And when the evening ended we looked out the window to find more snow . . there was no going home that night for anyone. So we gathered all the blankets and pillows we could find and had one big slumber party. The grand kids were delighted. Victor remarked to his parents on the way home the next day that he thought it was the best Christmas ever. And, indeed it was.
