The morning began at 5:00 a.m. as Art and I packed the car with the many boxes and suitcases that would accompany the wedding couple on the train to North Dakota. We arrived at Loretta's at 6:30 a.m. to find her radiant with joy and happiness. We took all the luggage (4) and boxes (5) to the train depot to check and then headed off to a champagn breakfast at the 13 Coins Restaurant. It was a memorable breakfast and I was honored to be a part of it. Then it was off to the train where I bid them a fond farewell knowing I would see them in a few days for the grand event in North Dakota. Praise God for guiding the many decisions that needed to be made throughout the week regarding the driving conditions through the pass. We can always rely on Him to know what's best for us. Below are a few pictures taken of this very wonderful morning.
A toast to the journey ahead.
Confirming the seat assignments with the porter
Once they get to Portland they will transfer trains. At that point they will move into a cozy private compartment and will go to the dining car for their meals. In fact, they just called to say they were now nestled in to their private compartment and enjoying the beautiful views from their panoramic window.
